Record Breaking Women: Sherida Spitse

Sherida Spitse is captain of AFC Ajax and the Netherlands national team. She is the most capped footballer in Europe, with 244 appearances and counting, she is also the 8th most capped in international women's football. She played on Saturday in the Netherland's first match of Euro 2025. This will be her 8th international tournament. Mark Parsons, her national team coach from 2021-22 said "Her ability to bring 100 per cent every single day is incredible, to demand 100 per cent from other people too. You need those type of characters, leaders, and that's Sherida."
